As-Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Dear respected brothers,
Re: Taraweeh at Woodman Community Centre
Alhamdulillah, the blessed month of Ramadan is almost upon us. Allah has once again blessed us with the opportunity to perform Taraweeh at Woodman Community Centre.
With this blessing comes responsibility upon us all to uphold the highest standards of conduct in accordance with our Deen. We strongly encourage our youngsters to attend; however, we must remain mindful of the sanctity of the occasion and the environment around us.
In previous years, we experienced some difficulties. There were instances of youngsters misbehaving inside and around the centre during Taraweeh. We also received several complaints from neighbours regarding nuisance and anti-social behaviour linked to children attending the centre.
We kindly and humbly request that parents and guardians ensure their children are supervised at all times.
As we are bound by the terms and conditions set by Newham Council, it is essential that we strictly adhere to them, especially during unsociable hours, to ensure we can continue using the centre.
Important Guidelines:
•The centre will open 30 minutes before Salah.
•All children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
(We received complaints from residents regarding anti-social behaviour last year.)
•Water will not be provided. Please bring your own.
•Please refer to our timetable for all Salah, Iftar, and Suhoor times. Gates will open 30 minutes before Salah.
Important Reminder:
Please be considerate of our neighbours:
•No unnecessary noise
•Do not block driveways or park irresponsibly
•Do not gather outside the centre
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not harm his neighbour.”
(Bukhari 5185, Muslim 47)
Jazakum Allahu Khayran for your understanding and cooperation.
